Calphalon Contemporary Nonstick

I purchased the Calphalon Contemporary Nonstick 10 piece set after a good review from my mother in-law. I wanted a set of non-stick cookware, as I tend to cook with as little added fat as possible. I am happy to say that I was not disappointed in my purchase.

One of the things that sold me on Calphalon is its lifetime guarantee. I know that if a company can stand behind their product, more than likely their product is reputable. With that said, I do have to say that one of my pans had the inside scraped a bit. It was no problem though, as I was able to return the pan to Calphalon. Their customer service was excellent and I received a new pan with no hassle whatsoever.

The pans themselves have held up great for five years now. They are not too heavy, but are substantial enough so they don't feel flimsy. They are very easy to clean (just make sure you use a Dobie pad so as to not scratch the inside) and maintain.

For me, having nonstick was a no brainer. I enjoy cooking low fat meals such as omelets, and I can make these meals easily without worry of food sticking to the pan. The pans are also versatile enough to make everything from pasta to burgers to steak. The pans are oven safe, which means if I want to start a steak on the stove and then place it in the oven to finish in the broiler, I can do so without having to switch to a new pan. This saves me time and clean up.

These pans have many nice features that cooks will find useful. The lids on the pans are a nice, heavy glass which I like because I am able to monitor the cooking process more readily. Another great feature of these pans are the keep cool handles. I never have to worry about burning my hand on them.

Overall, I am very pleased with my Calphalon Nonstick Cookware. Calphalon is an excellent manufacturer and I would definitely recommend their products to other cooks.
