Calphalon Counter Top Grill

I bought the Calphalon Counter top grill this labor day of 2008. It might be one of the best purchases I've made to date. I'm currently trying to lose weight, so the grill is where I do most of my cooking in the summer instead of using unhealthy oil and fats. Now in the winter time, I can grill indoors with the Calphalon Nonstick grill. I just leave it on my kitchen counter top and use it all the time.


I love the simplicity of cooking food after coming home from work. Usually I am tired and get lazy and end up eating unhealthy. However with my new grill I can put a frozen steak on it, and by the time I'm out of the shower it's done also.


It's also a breeze to clean, just a simple wipe and it’s done. I don’t have to stay up all night slaving away on dishes. This is a big change from my George Foreman grill, which was hell to clean. The George Foreman wasn’t truly nonstick.


The only thing that I would change about this grill is that it takes too much of the natural juices out of the meats. It leaves them rather tough and unmemorable. I don’t want to waste my expensive steaks to something that turns them dry.


However, I love making paninis on the grill. They are one of my favorite sandwiches. I can easily make them on the grill and don't have to pay for it at Wawa. All you need to do is apply a little pressure on the lid to get the desired sandwich grill marks.


I would highly recommend this grill to anyone looking to change the way they eat. It has certainly helped me eat better and will do the same for you also.
