Chef's Classic Stainless by The Food Network

After years of using the cheap twelve piece set of pots and pans purchased from Walmart I decided it was time for a good set.
I love cooking and the pans that I was using were chipping and were not nonstick as they had claimed. But what do you expect from a cheap set.
After a week of research I decided to purchase the Cuisinart Chef's Classic Stainless Cookware Collection from the food network.
Now it was a little high in price compared to my cheap set. The cost was $249.00.
The set I purchased came with seventeen pieces. One of the things I really like about this set is that it came with a multi-steamer insert with lid and a pasta insert. These two items I had never used before but have known others who have them and love them. After the first time of using it I was very glad that I got them.
So far everything that I did in my research where these were concerned have been true. They claim that they distribute heat rather quick and spreads the heat with no hot spots. Now coming from the pans I was use to I had my doubts about this. I was wrong. I have tested and tested these pans. Putting them from mild test to the extreme. I have not had any hot spots. The pan is heated evenly every time.
Now I do have one thing I do not like about these pans and it is my fault for not paying attention to the small printing. They are not non-stick. You spend the kind of money that I did and I just thought they would be. I felt pretty stupid after receiving them and realizing that I overlooked that little bit of information on them.
However even though they are not stick proof I have found that cooking spray works wonderful on them. Some pans the cooking spray will turn an ugly shade of yellow when you spray it into the hot pan. Not the case with these.
Although I do love these pans a lot I still wish that I hadn't overlooked the non stick. But other then that I would probably recommend them to someone else.
