Circulon Elite 10 Piece Hard Anodized Nonstick Set

Circulon Elite Cookware bears the Good Housekeeping seal of approval for it?s value, comfort and convenience. If you?re shopping for a set of nonstick pots and pans that not only look good but have down-home sensibility in their engineering, this set may be ideal for you.

Positive Features

Circulon Elite pans feature the TOTAL® Hi-Low Food Release System, which guarantees the longevity of the nonstick surface. Each piece has a cast stainless steel handle riveted into the pan sturdily. These are covered with comfort grips for easy manageability.

The see through stainless – glass lid is very sophisticated looking and allows you to carefully monitor your food without loosing heat distribution. And, thanks to the nonstick surface, cleanup is a snap!

This specific set features both a 1 and 2-quart saucepan, an 8-quart stockpot, an 8 inch and 10 inch skillets, and 10-1/3-quart sauté pan, making a good start for outfitting any kitchen.

Considerations

Circulon Elite bears a likewise “elite” price tag of over $450.00 retail. While that’s not out of line with other high-end nonstick pan sets, watch for it to go on sale. Then you’ll only be paying about $25 per piece (~ $250.00 total).

Besides the price tag, there are a few other issues with this set. First, they could have skipped over one of the small saucepans for one that’s a little larger (3.5 quart, for example). Second, two skillets are a little unnecessary if you’re looking for variety. Third, people report that cleaning the lids is very difficult – food gets caught between the metal and glass very easily.

Finally this set is not dishwasher safe, but since many fine cookware sets don’t advise dishwasher cleaning that’s only a minor drawback.

Consumer Reviews

People who have glass top stoves really love the Circulon Elite cookware line. It’s perfect for that type of surface. Additionally, those with conventional stoves praise the nonstick interior as being very durable and dependable.

It cleans up quickly and easily as promised by the company. Other features that consumers seemed to appreciate include the glass lids with heat-proof handles, the overall balance in the pans, and the fact that the basic set has “add ons” that are easy to find at most major department stores.

Summary

From all reports Circulon Elite performs as it promises. There are some small drawbacks to the set, but those do not deter from the functionality of these pans, nor the overall customer satisfaction ratings.

The pricing is within the norm for good quality nonstick pans intended for daily kitchen use. Overall this set is a relatively good choice for any household.
