Cooking With Calphalon?

by juan
(Vancouver, Canada)

Do I need cooking oil, when cooking with Calphalon pans?

Answer

Hi Juan

Since I don't know the exact type of Calphalon pans you are using, I will give you a general answer.

On nonstick cookware you can use no oil, on the other types of cookware I would suggest using some type of oil or butter.

I use oil when I cook with my non stick, because it ensures the food won't stick.

If you do use oil in the pans make sure to heat it to the right temperature first, this helps the food sear immediately.
