Lodge Combo Cooker and Square Grill Pan

After hearing all the horror stories about non-stick coated cookware, I decided to clean out my kitchen of all of it that I had collected over the years. I tossed any of the non-stick pans I had that had scratches and donated any that was in good shape to my local Goodwill.

I remembered my mother always cooking with cast iron cookware and decided to do some research on cast iron. What I found made me very happy indeed.

I found that cast iron is 100% safe to cook with, lasts longer than I will last on this planet, and is really easy to care for too. I also found that it can be pretty expensive, but I felt that it was worth it to invest in some cookware that will last me the rest of my life and not harm me in any way.

One brand that really stuck out during my research was Lodge. Its been around since 1896! That was enough to sell me.

I ordered the Seasoned Square Grill Pan and the Combo Cooker that is a skillet, fryer, and Dutch Oven all in one. I have never been so happy with cookware I have purchased.

All of Lodge products come pre-seasoned, so you do not have to worry about that. They are 100% cast iron and SO heavy. They work great too.

I have fried eggs, potatoes, grill vegetables, and even made some soup in my new cookware and everything turns out great.

I even prefer my fried potatoes cooked in the cast iron, as it give them a crispiness that the non-stick cookware never did give them.

As I stated before, this cookware is more pricey than non-stick, but it is SO worth it. I paid about $40.00 for the Combo Cooker and $15 for the Grill Pan.

I know that I will not need a skillet, fryer, Dutch Oven, or Grill Pan for the rest of my life though, so that makes the $55.00 price tag a really good deal in my eyes.

I would recommend this cast iron cookware to anyone who is wanting a top quality item and wanting to eliminate harmful chemicals from their cooking routine.
