T-Fal Encore Hard Enamel Cookware Set in Black

My grandmother always swore by T-Fal’s products, saying they had the best non stick finish around. She had a set she had bought and used for around ten years, and they looked perfect. The Teflon wasn’t scratched up, she insisted upon using only plastic utensils in her precious cookware.
Well, when I got married, I requested a set of T-Fal’s amazing Teflon coated cookware, thinking that I would have some great pots and pans to last me a very long time. I was so VERY disappointed.
At first the cookware seemed to be fantastic; the food wouldn’t stick at all. Then the Teflon on the inside of one pan started to bubble up and peel away. I didn’t think that it was very healthy for my family to eat Teflon, so I tossed that pan and just considered it a loss. I just ran out to my local store and grabbed a new T-Fal pan.
The other pots and pans held out a little longer, maybe over a year, when they all started to have the same Teflon peeling problem, and then the finish started to bubble up and peel away on the outside! It was horrible! Not even a year after getting the whole set, they looked like I had used them for fifty years! I ended up throwing everything away because it looked terrible, my food was starting to stick because of Teflon loss, and the food always had this weird, metallic, burned type taste.
It was not very pleasant type of taste at all, especially if you are trying to enjoy a nice, romantic dinner, or having guests over. I will never forget having a dinner party and everyone having this horrible look as they tasted my spaghetti sauce. It tasted just like burned rubber and Parmesan.
Needless to say, we ordered Chinese take out that night and called it a day! I know some of T-Fal’s stuff works, considering the little lone pan I bought is still holding up, even two years later, but maybe they could have done a little better work with their set. I hope other people had better luck with theirs!
