Wolfgang Puck Bistro Cookware

Celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck has put together a series of professional quality cookware in his new Bistro line. This line of cookware is packaged in several different sets, and you may find sets that include a warming tray, covered saucepans, a stockpot, frying pans, pizza pans and more. Wolfgang Puck's attention to detail comes through with this line of fine cookware.

Convenience is built in with details like colander lids and double-riveted handles. A set of Bistro will make it easier to make soup, pizza, sauces, chicken, burgers and more. This cookware allows you to cook on lower heats, and the stainless steel does not react with the food.

Positive Features

The shiny stainless steel looks great in any kitchen. Pour spouts on the sauce pans eliminate spills and the pans can go from the stove to the oven with ease. They clean up easily with warm water and dish soap. For the best results, follow the directions of heat the pans, add your oil or butter, heat that up, and then add your food.

The pans heat evenly and the food does not pick up any bad flavors from the stainless steel. Cook on lower heats for the best results. High heats are unnecessary due to the conductivity of the aluminum base. Unlike some professional quality cookware, these weigh a lot less, so are easier to use. When defects do surface, the company is quick to send a replacement.

If you forget about your cooking and the liquid boils away, the pan can ruin your stove and possibly other things in your kitchen. If this happens, add water and leave the pot sit for awhile. The handles can get a little on the warm side during cooking, but not so hot you can't touch them.

Some food will stick, and sometimes you need to boil the stuck food to loosen it. Some consumers have had difficulties with the lids breaking and the handles loosening, while others report the opposite. Others say the handles get very hot during cooking. This set is not appropriate for cooking on an induction stove top.
